Punxsutawney Phil may have seen his shadow last week, but if six more weeks of winter look like the first half of the season, we’re in good shape!
Mother Nature has helped us keep construction crews at work during this unusually mild winter; great news as we enter the third year of our five-year southwest Michigan fiber deployment.
We now have north of 3500 active subscribers enjoying the gold standard of high-speed service, and raving about the experience. Margie from Decatur was hooked up in December, and had this to say: “As a former Exede satellite customer with a 15Gb data package that was used up before the middle of the month, slow downloads and even slower uploads, I cannot express my extreme happiness with the Midwest Connections fiber services. The price, speed, and reliability of your service are amazing and I would recommend to anyone interested in internet service.”
Thanks Margie! And with that, here is our first official construction update for 2017:
Northeast Cass: After an unexpected delay, we were finally able to start lighting up customers in mid-January. Thanks for your patience
West North Dowagiac: Construction has started on one of the circuits and we’re well ahead of schedule. We expect to begin lighting up members off this circuit sometime this spring, and the full zone throughout spring and summer.
East North Dowagiac: Walk-out work is complete and construction will begin in the spring. We’re on track to begin installs this summer.
Marcellus and Mattawan: Walk-out work is nearly complete in both zones, and we still expect home installs to begin in the fall.
For those still in pre-registration, there’s an ever-changing horse race for the top spot between West Three Rivers, Union, and North Marcellus-South Lawton. Keep encouraging those sign ups to get your zone into our 2018 construction plan!
